Children's
Services

During 2008, we served a total of 217 infants, toddlers, and young children and their families through two unique components.

The first was the early intervention program which provided services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and other diagnoses. Services provided included speech, physical, and occupational therapy, special instruction, and case management services. The goal of this program is to assist each infant and toddler served with getting the best start in life possible.

The second component, the Children’s Arc Day care, is a fully inclusive setting which provided day care services to infants, toddlers, and young children with and without developmental delays. This program strives to give each family served an enriched foundation of fundamentals on which to build their child’s future.

Families served were asked to participate in a Consumer Satisfaction Survey on the program. Results were analyzed and compiled to ensure that quality services were delivered to families. Results on the 2008 Surveys averaged 5.86 on a scale of 1-7, with seven representing excellence. This score fell into the “good to very good” range on the scale.

Specific examples of feedback from families included the following comments:

“What my family liked best about the program was that our service coordinator went well beyond what was expected!”

“The therapist came directly to my home and was always able to give me answers to my questions about my child.”

“I like the cleanliness of the day care and its location. It is both clean and safe.”
